Bio
Taj Burrow is in many ways, the Renaissance man of the ASP. Not only has his natural talent and athleticism given him global recognition as one of the world's best surfers, but somehow he's also found the time to write a book (Taj Burrow's Book of Hot Surfing) and produce his own surf videos (Taj Burrow's Fair Bits, Sabotaj and Montaj). Burrow went pro in 1998 when he was 20-years-old, taking home the "ASP World Tour Rookie of the Year" award. Ever since making the tour, he's been a regular fixture on the winner's stage, with first place finishes at the Coke Surf Classic, Australia (1999), the Santa Catarina Pro, Brazil (2004) and the Billabong Pro, South Africa (2007), where he claimed the title over 8X ASP World Champion Kelly Slater.
Today, Burrow is considered one of the most advanced surfers in the sport. He continues to take it to the next level with his innovative technique and determination. After finishing runner-up in the world on three separate occasions, Burrow is hungry for the ASP World Title and you can bet that the high-flying man from Yallingup, Western Australia will put in a huge effort in 2008.
