Goodbye Namotu...

This blog is being written from Namotu, at light speed as the sun goes down, while waiting for a boat back to Tavi. It's always a bit of a hurry up and wait game, knowing that your at the mercy of the boat drivers and their schedules. So, taking advantage of every moment here in the islands, here's an inter island blog for everyone. Lay day number who knows what one at this point, has everyone workign hard to keep busy. There a lot of YouTubing going on. Shark vs. Octopus was todays surprise hit. Check it out. Make sure and vote one who's gonna win with your buddies before hand, as it's a pretty sick match. There's was some political banter going on too, but we didn't really get a good enough whiff to figure out who was on what side. We nailed some good catalog shots today too. Some product shots for the new boardies, and then we got the team together for little evening boat trip/photo shoot. Special times here in Fiji, and we're not letting 'em slip by for anything. Today was probably the least surfed though. There just wasn't much happening, but it also had the feeling of the calm before the storm. Tomorrow morning is predicted to be 6 feet, with a nice low tide in the morning, and contest director Steve Robertson is sure that the event will be on. Everyone's fingers are crossed for that call to be the one. We're real anxious for some action and can't wait for the first heat's horn to blow. Heat 4 is looking like it's gonna be a cracker, Slater vs. Damo. Parko vs. Pancho in Heat 7 is gonna be sick too... Check in tomorrow and get ready for some good times live from Fiji. Vinaka...
